Every answer below is either a figure from our own specification or a description of how the process works. We do not guess at what we do not know — for price and lead time we describe how they are determined.

Technical specifications

What motor type does the driver run?
Hall-sensored BLDC motors. The board carries three Hall inputs and a 5 V output that supplies the sensors, so you do not need a separate sensor supply board.
How long can it deliver 300 A peak?
300 amps for 10 seconds at a 60 volt supply. That figure is defined for short high-load moments such as launch and climb; it is not a continuous rating. Rated power is 5 kW.
What supply voltage range does it work at?
60–96 V DC. If your battery sits outside that range, write to us — supply range is a parameter that can be changed in the design.
Is regenerative braking included?
No. This product is planned without regenerative braking. If you need to return braking energy to the battery, that has to be discussed at the design stage.
What protocol does the driver communicate with?
Classic CAN, usable for telemetry and in-vehicle communication. The architecture is laid out ready for RS485 to be added, but the standard product does not carry an RS485 line.
How is the throttle command given to the driver?
Through an analog potentiometer input referenced to 3.3 volts. There is also a digital gear input for forward/reverse selection.
What safety features are on the board?
A deadman input that cuts the output when the operator line is released, and a 12 V circuit that drives the main contactor coil. The safety logic scrutineering asks for is inside the board, so you do not have to carry a separate relay board.
Can motor temperature be monitored?
Yes, the board has a motor NTC input. You can connect the motor temperature sensor directly to the driver.

Choosing a product

What exactly does the power distribution board do?
It takes a single high-current line from the battery and distributes it across the consumers in the system with low loss and in balance. Its buffer capacitance steps in before the battery rail sags on a sudden draw, and the copper power planes are sized to spread the heat that high current produces without creating a hot spot. In short, it is not a connection plate — it is the backbone of the power system.
Do I have to buy both products together?
No. The two work independently. If your system has a single motor and no distribution need, the motor driver alone may be enough; if you feed several consumers from one battery, the power distribution board alone may be. Tell us your application and we will work out together which one you need.
Do you design boards for a specific application?
Yes. On most projects one of our existing boards fits with a small adaptation on the connector and mounting side. Where it does not, we design from scratch — schematic, layout, power plane sizing and thermal check included.
What vehicles and platforms are the boards used in?
Electric race cars, unmanned aerial vehicles, underwater systems, autonomous ground platforms, and industrial drives and test benches. What they share is having to manage high current in a limited volume and in demanding conditions.

Ordering and delivery

What do they cost?
We do not publish a fixed list price, because the price depends on the configuration the application needs and on quantity. Send the voltage, current and quantity on WhatsApp and we will come back with a quote.
What is the lead time?
It depends on whether the board is an existing design or a custom one, and on the current availability of the critical components. We give a firm date once we have your request, and if a part has no alternative we say so at the start.
We are a competition team on a limited budget. What can we do?
Tell us your calendar and budget constraint up front. A small adaptation of an existing design is both faster and cheaper than a design from scratch, and for most teams that is the right starting point.

Support and documentation

Does documentation come with the board?
Yes. The connection diagram, the power-up order and the typical fault states come in writing with the board.
Is there support after the board ships?
Yes. If you get stuck while fitting the board, you can reach us on the same WhatsApp line you used at the quote stage.
Do you share test results?
Every board goes through supply, output and communication checks before it is boxed. We share the measurement output from those checks with the board on request.
